 Philosophy

The ultimate goal is to help patients find improvement in comfort and function as quickly as possible, and then to help them stay that way.  Needing to get adjusted all the time to feel well is not our version of quality care.  We aim to provide lasting whole-body work, teach people how to take the best care of themselves, and then be here to help maintain the balance.  The more you are invested in your own care outside of the office, the less you are likely to find yourself needing treatments.

We believe that Chiropractic Care and Craniosacral Therapy can work wonders to get you back on track when feeling out of whack, usually due to a myriad of lifestyle strains and stresses.  And for wee ones, it can really get them off on the right foot, per se, and allow a physical and emotional unwinding from their birthing adventures.

Every single treatment here looks different from the next because each body has a unique need, and each person has their own goals and preferences.  We are passionate about catering care to each comfort level, which for some means that there is no “cracking” at all, and for others there may be lots. We also are quick to make referrals to other impressive providers when we believe our care would be best complimented or replaced by another modality.

For anyone out there who has been nervous about Chiropractic, please know that every doctor practices in a totally different way, and our utmost commitment here is to your comfort and education toward lifelong wellness.

SHANNON

I grew up in sunny Simi Valley, California.  After going to Moorpark College for 2 years, I decided that I needed some get away from southern California. I received my bachelor’s degree from Oregon State University in General Science with an option in Pre-Physical Therapy.

Before starting Chiropractic school in the fall of 2008, I worked in a physical therapy office. I went on to earn my Doctor of Chiropractic degree from The University of Western States in Portland, and trained in Craniosacral Therapy through the Upledger Institute.

In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my boyfriend John and my dog Miley.  I love hiking, cooking, traveling, pretending to play golf and most importantly cheering on the Oregon State Beavers.

JESS

Prior  to becoming a Chiropractor in 2007, I worked for seven wonderful years  in the field of education.  I began as an Outward Bound instructor and led many young people on remote wilderness courses of self-discovery and adventure.  I also worked in a high school as a health teacher, coach and learning specialist for students with different learning abilities.

These experiences were the catalyst to helping me discover my greatest gift in becoming a Chiropractor.  Now my life and practice experiences are allowing me to share the joys and lessons of how we can best care for our families and ourselves.  I am a graduate of Miami University and the University Western States.

I thrive in the outdoors and love to rock climb, mountain bike, telemark  ski, and kiteboard.  In my more competitive days, I have been a runner, triathlete, soccer, basketball and ultimate frisbee player.  I love to ride bikes around town, have dance parties with my son, and embark on spontaneous "urban adventures" with my family.
